Recipe - Pinto Beans and Ground Meat

Ingredients:

  • Pinto beans
  • 1 can dice tomatoes
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 TBS minced garlic
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 TBS oil

Directions:

  1. Rinse and sort beans
  2. Soak in water over night
  3. Cook with broth on low heat for 3-4 hours until tender/soft
  4. Chop onion and bell pepper
  5. Sauté onion bell pepper, garlic in skillet with oil until soft
  6. Cook ground beef in skillet until done drain meat and add onion, pepper and garlic to meat mixture.
  7. Mix ground meat with pinto beans and stir
  8. Season to taste with salt and pepper
