Harmony Empowerment Living Program

 

Harmony is launching a new self-sufficiency program in 2019!  

The Harmony Empowerment Living Program (H.E.L.P.) serves individuals ages 18 to 45 who are unemployed, or salary is below Dallas median income level. Through outreach and recruitment, 48 individuals in cohorts of 12, will enroll in our self-sufficiency program. We provide assessment, plans of action, case management, resources, and referrals by uncovering what a client must have to obtain employment, education, or career advancement that will lead to livable wages. H.E.L.P. provides support to individuals through a holistic approach to assist individuals become self-sufficient using intense case management and wrap around services. Quarterly, we will recruit 50 individuals to participate in H.E.L.P. 50 Individuals will receive stabilization services and 12 of the 50 will be selected to move through the comprehensive self-sufficiency case management program.

The goal of H.E.L.P. is behavior modification and to increase the number of individuals prepared to pursue and secure employment. This will result in economic empowerment, financial stability and produce wealth within the South Oak Cliff community. This multifaceted approach is based on the Annie E. Casey Working Families Success Model and the evidence-based Arizona self-sufficiency model for case management.

  4. How many classes can I miss? A participant can only miss 6 sessions. However, it must be an excused absence pre-approved by a staff.

  6. How long is the program? The program is 16 weeks for 2 sessions per week.

  7. Will this program help me get a job? The program is designed to equip you in the skills and/or certification in pursuing a career path with livable wages.

  8. What type of career paths will H.E.L.P offer? Customer Service, IT, Healthcare, Insurance, Advanced Manufacturing, and Logistics.
