Harmony Program Volunteers

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT EXPO

It starts with YOU! The Economic Empowerment Expo (E3) 2025 is looking for dedicated volunteers to help make this event a success. This is your chance to be part of something bigger—serving the community, making connections, and creating an impact.

CAREER & FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT SERIES

Where We Need Support

  • Financial Empowerment Sessions: Serve as a mentor or facilitator to guide participants on their financial journey. We’re seeking individuals with experience in finance, including budgeting, income planning, and debt management
  • Career Empowerment Sessions: Support participants by providing resume assistance, conducting mock interviews, and offering career coaching. Ideal volunteers have experience in HR, resume building, leadership, and strong communication skills.

Commitment and Scheduling Required

  • Classes: Volunteers should commit to at least one class per month, with each class running 2 hours (30 minutes of prep and updates & 90-minute class, max).
  • Career Coaching Sessions: Career coaches should commit to at least 2 sessions per month, each lasting 1 hour.
  • Financial Coaching Sessions: Financial coaches should commit to at least 2 sessions per month, each lasting 1 hour.
  • Special Events: A commitment of 4 hours on the event day, with attendance at a planning meeting before the event.
  • Training Requirement: All volunteers are expected to attend an orientation and any necessary training sessions.

FOOD PANTRY

Volunteer for upcoming Harmony Pop Up Events 

  • Saturday, March 29th at 9:00 AM- Harmony Pop Up at THP Community Resource Fair
  • Saturday, April 19th at 10:00 AM - Concord Church Easter Extravaganza

Assist the Food Pantry team in preparing and distributing weekly food boxes to the community.

Volunteer Interest:

  • Food Pantry Service – Serve clients by registering their visit, loading vehicles, packaging food produce, refrigerated and/or freezer items, directing traffic or performing other essential duties to operate a safe and efficient food pantry. Box Packing may also be done on these days.
  • Truck Unloading – Assist with weekly restocking of the food pantry by unloading the truck and placing inventory in designated areas. Some inventory and produce sorting.
  • Box Packing – Make shelf-stable food boxes. 
  • Monthly Inventory – Assist with the monthly counting of inventory for reporting purposes.
  • Participant Registration - This includes assisting participants with completing paperwork for the food pantry during distribution hours.  
  • Data Entry - This includes entering food pantry data into Harmony database. These time slots can be during food pantry hours as well.

Volunteer Hours: 

Monday: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm  

Tuesday: 10:00 am-1:00 pm or 3:30 pm-5:30 pm  

Thursday: 9:30 am-2:00 pm

Housing Resource Center

We provide resources and referrals to assist individuals and families with access to needed programs and services.

Volunteer Interest:

  • Receptionist - Greet and assist resource center walk-ins and provide general resource information. Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls to appropriate staff and/or provide general resource information. Review and respond to email inquiries and provide general resource information.

Operations

We provide operation support to the Harmony Programs.

Volunteer Interest:

  • Administrative Support- Support our administrative team by assisting in data collection and reporting, creating presentations and detailed reports. 
  • Special Event Support- Support special events by assisting in event planning and implementation, budgeting, facility set-up and breakdowns, and providing customer service to attendees.
